Following the success of Tai Chi in the wonderful Hove Club, we will be running a new session on Thursday 11th August at 10.30. A combination of relaxed and dynamic movements to enhance your day. Followed by refreshments and a chance to chat to the instructors in the garden.

Summer School

Posted on

Start the day well.

With the summer here and with term-time classes not running, we are offering the chance for you to join us for a time to pause and reflect in a session of morning moving meditations in a park, one in Brighton and one in Hove.

Each session will last an hour and will cost only £5, following the same pattern throughout:

QiGong (Chigung) warm-ups and exercises led by Christine (flowing, repeating, getting the body relaxed and prepared)

QiGong Chinese Health set, Yi Jin Jing led by Lisa (series of movements specifically to lengthen muscles and tendons for flexibility and strength)

Engage South East

Posted on

A small local charity, called Engage South East is sponsoring the Hadlow Down Tai Chi drop in class. The charity’s main aims are to bring local communities together, combating social isolation and loneliness, in order to improve the quality of life for older people. We encourage local volunteering with over 20 volunteers helping us at the moment. We also support people with memory loss and dementia and their carers. We have two clubs, the TN22 and TN22 Plus club and we meet at Hadlow Down village hall, near Uckfield, East Sussex.

We also work with our sister charity Sound Architect in developing courses and activities, such as computer classes, physical exercise, such as tai chi and educational projects in schools. For more information on the website: www.engagesoutheast.org.uk
